Dodgy Tile Repairs

You wouldn’t believe what we find when we carry out a roof inspection almost every day. There are so many “dodgy” repairs carried out and the scary thing is most are not done by the owner, they actually paid someone to carry out a professional repair !

Preparing for Storm Season

Our roofs and gutters are highly susceptible to damage caused by our wild weather particularly up here. But these three basic tasks may offer some peace of mind.

  • HAVING YOUR ROOF PROFESSIONALLY INSPECTED

We believe the first step is to have your roof and gutters inspected to check on their condition and determine if anything needs replacing or repairing before any cyclones or bad weather arrives.

Cheap Vs Quality

One thing in life always seems to ring true no matter the situation, Cheap Vs Quality. We all want to spend the least amount but always want the best quality whether if be cars, food, electronics even your house. Unfortunately some companies out there will do a job to a certain level of quality as they have quoted cheap and cant afford to maintain a high quality standard, and on your roof they take advantage of this thinking you will never see it or get on your roof.

Watch out for Gypsy's

Lately there have been a lot of “out of town” guys in North Queensland staying in caravan parks, parking signage trailers around town in random spots and putting signs up on power and light poles advertising really cheap roof paint jobs. Don’t get caught out!

Preparation is everything

The finished product is only as good as the preparation that is carried out at the start, even when it comes to restoring a roof. Some people go and get their roof cleaned before we inspect it, unfortunately this is a waste of money as we need to clean it before we can apply our coatings on your roof. We are responsible for your roof from start to finish and when we clean your roof we want to have every little loose particle off the surface, otherwise our coatings wont adhere to your roof properly leaving a sub par finish.

Seamist Grey Tiled Roof

We recently finished this big concrete tile roof and transformed it from a dull white with mould growing to a modern Seamist Grey masterpiece. The clients are so happy with how it came up and matches in with everything else. They contacted us after seeing what we did to the neighbours roof across the road that was done in the same Seamist Grey. Now they are matchy - matchy and very happy knowing they have maintained their roof.

Different Roofs

Every roof is different is what we have found in all our years of experience inspecting roofs in North Queensland. Obviously there are the different types of materials such as metal sheets in Zinc, Galvanised or Colorbond, concrete tiles, terracotta tiles, decramastic tiles, asbestos sheets, alloy sheets along with a few others. Even two houses side by side built at the same time can be in a different state of condition which can be due to different colour, different installers, proximity to trees, previous maintenance or lack thereof and orientation to the sun just to name a few.
